Like LTC Nguyen I also served with the Army of South Vietnam (ARVN) but as an Advisor. I know from personal experience how hard and how well most of the South
Vietnamese patriots fought only to be abandoned by the government of the United States in a shameful episode not soon forgotten by ARVN and American troops who served in the Republic of Vietnam.
Rest in peace Sir, you fought the good fight and truly loved your country.

Many years ago, Mr. Troung Nguyen was a student in my English class. I have remembered him all these years with fondness as I recall his smile and cheerful presence in my class.
I wish all the Nguyen family my sympathy as I know you will miss him very much.
