Ms. Candida Rosa "Mami Swing" Roldan, age 47, died on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the loving wife of Andy Rodriguez.

Born and raised in Lawrence, she was the daughter of Josefa Rios and the late Ramon A. Roldan. Candida was a very giving person, she was known for putting others needs before her own and would be the first to lend a helping hand. She had a great sense of humor, always had a smile on her face and just a special way about her, that will be missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to Candida's husband and mother, she is survived by three children, Raquel I. Amaro, Eladino F. Amaro and Alex Reynoso; two grandchildren, Julius and Alivia Jimenez; two sisters, Maritza Roldan and Maryluz Roldan; three nieces, Maricela Vega, Naiesha A. Reyes and Keyanna M. Lamarre; two nephews, Jose E. Vega and Ramon A. Vega. Candida is also survived by many close friends and her beloved dog, Cholo.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Saturday from 3 - 6 p.m. Candida's funeral will be held on Saturday evening, following visiting hours, beginning at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
