Wilson "Macho" Ruiz

Mr. Wilson Jose “ Macho” Ruiz, age 46, of Lawrence, died on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the longtime companion of Christina Cruz.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of Carmen Milagros (Ruiz) Medina of Salem, MA and the late Wilson Ruiz Arroyo.

In addition to his companion and mother, Wilson is survived by one son, Wilson “Machi” Ruiz; two step-children, Cynthia Figueroa & Joseph Vincenty; four grandchildren, Rosella Marie, Isiah, Wilson J. & Michael; Wilson’s step-father, Richard Medina of Salem, MA; four siblings, Margarita Ruiz of Andover, Nilsa Gonzalez & her husband Eddie Gonzalez of Lawrence, Damien Medina, Sr. & his wife Isis Hernandez, and Tamara Medina of North Carolina; eleven nieces & nephews, Edwin & Demetria, Roberto, Jr. & Anthonee, Kyrsa & Eddie, Jr., Damien, Jr. & Diamana, and Jose III, Jay & Nyanna; and one great-niece, Isabella Fantauzzi. Wilson is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins & close friends. He was predeceased by his father, Wilson Ruiz Arroyo and sister, Carmen Awilda Ruiz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4 – 7 p.m. At the family’s request, interment will be private.
