Victor M. Martinez, Jr.

Victor M. Martinez, Jr., age 20, Of Lawrence, MA & Grand Rapids, MI,  died on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Grand Rapids, MI, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and raised in Lawrence, he was the son of Petrax Martinez & Victor M. Martinez & his wife Ana Medina. Victor was a graduate of Grand Rapids Prep School and he was attending Grand Valley State University. In his spare time, he would be found working on and modifying cars, especially Honda Accords. Victor loved spending time with his family, he was a devoted father, son, grandson, brother & uncle. He also enjoyed watching sports and playing baseball.

In addition to his parents, Victor is survived by his son, Mateo & his mother, Jacquelin; 3 sisters, Yajaira, Karina & Jannelvy Martinez; his grandmothers, Rosa Martinez & Carmela Martinez. He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & close friends. Victor was predeceased by his grandfathers.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2 – 5 p.m. On Monday, October 25, 2021, his funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary Church, 300 Haverhill & Hampshire Sts., Lawrence at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
