Obituary
Mrs. Milagros Ester (Méndez) Williams, age 87, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony Williams.
Born & raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ismael Mendez and Juana Gloria Brazoban de Mendez. She lived in Puerto Rico and then New York City, where she continued working as a seamstress for clothing designers. In 1971 she moved to Lawrence to provide her family with a better quality of life.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Belen Ortiz-Godwin & her husband Bill; 4 grandchildren, Ruben, Charisa, Daniel & Priscilla; 7 great grandchildren, Wesley, Evan, Grant, Janessa, Maxwell, Maya & Nora; and 2 sisters, Maria Rodriquez & Cristina Mendez. Also survived by many other relatives.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
