Mercedes Estevez Gomez

Mercedes Estevez- Gomez, age 91, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Mercedes was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She was a loving mother to her eight children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Despite her health complications, Mercedes' memory remained intact until her last breath, allowing her to enjoy and share countless meaningful moments with her loved ones.
Mercedes is survived by her five daughters and three sons, all of Lawrence. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the countless friends she made through her contagious smile and always pleasant personality. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will begin on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the funeral home at 9 AM, followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary Church, 300 Hampshire St. Lawrence at 10 AM. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
