Mrs. Maria del Carmen Martinez, age 85, of Lawrence, died on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Francisco A. Martinez.

Born in Altamira, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Juan Martinez & Georgina Torres. She was a devoted catholic and homemaker that loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by 3 children, Ramiro A. Martinez, Victor M. Martinez & Maria L. Martinez; 5 grandchildren, Yajaira, Karina, Edward, Jannelvy & Josiel; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 siblings. In addition to her husband & parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Victor Martinez, Jr. and 6 siblings.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4 – 7 p.m. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Hampshire St., Lawrence at 12 p.m. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Lawrence.
