Luis Ruiz

Mr. Luis Ruiz, age 65, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family. He was the lifelong partner of Lee Nichols of Lawrence.

Born and raised in Patillas, Puerto Rico, Luis was the son of the late Luis Ruiz & Cecilia Alicea. He attended the Escuela Intermedia de Patillas and worked for many years as a maintenance worker for different properties.

In addition to his partner, Lee, Luis is also survived by four daughters, Jessica Nichols Jiles, Cassandra Nichols, Marisol Ruiz & Luz Ruiz; four grandchildren, Josia A. Reyes, Jaliyah G. Reyes, Crystal Capistran & Joshua Capistran; three great grandchildren, Evelyn Gonzalez, Adriel Gonzalez & Noa Reyes; five sisters, Margarita Ruiz, Leonides Ruiz, Cruz Ruiz, Anilda Ruiz & Catalina Lasalle. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews. Luis was predeceased by two sisters, Francisca Ruiz & Reyita Ruiz.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. At the family’s request, interment will be private.
