Obituary
Joseph “Joe” R. Surette, age 69, of Lawrence, died on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John W. Surette and Rachel L. (Giard) Surette. He attended Somerville Public Schools and was a graduate of Somerville High School. He worked for many years as a tile installer and loved fishing with his family and friends. He was a longtime member o f the Lawrence Elks Lodge #65.
Joseph is survived by five siblings, John P. Surette of Lawrence, Judith Crossman of Cape Cod, Janet MacNeil of Franklin, Carolyn Maniscalo of Mansfield, and Joyce Wing of Adams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Jean Marsh.
A celebration of life for Joseph will be held at a later date.
