Mr. Hector Matias, age 83, of Lawrence, died on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Lawrence General Hospital.

Born in La Rosa, Moca, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Felix Brito & Maria Matias. He worked for many years as a chef for his businesses, a grocery store and a night club.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 5 - 8 p.m. At the family's request, interment will be private.
