Gwendolynn I. Mahoney

Mrs. Gwendolynn Ionee (Scott) Mahoney, age 30, of North Andover, died on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Lawrence General Hospital. She was the loving wife of Kevin A. Mahoney, with whom she was together for 10 years.

Born in Melrose and raised in Lawrence, she was the daughter of Wayne R. and Julia D. (Colon) Scott. Gwendolynn was a graduate of St. Marys Grammar School in Lawrence, Georgetown High School class of 2008, and she earned a bachelor’s degree from UMass Lowell. Most recently Gwendolynn was employed as a Supervisor for the AdHub at the Eagle Tribune.

In addition to her husband & parents, she is survived by two sisters, Marilynn Cruz & Annett Scott; her maternal grandfather, Julio Colon; her uncle, Manny Colon; her aunt, Zulma Colon;4 nieces, Josemary, Ashley, Caitlyn & Angelina; her pets, Ahsoka & Luna. She was predeceased by her sister, Joselynn Wilkins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gwendolynn’s memory may be made to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Lawrence on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. At the family’s request, interment will be private.
