Obituary

Mr. Ernest R. "Butch" Hart, age 85, of Haverhill, formerly of Lawrence, died on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Lawrence, he was the oldest son of the late Ernest & Louise (Richardson) Hart. He was a class of 1955 graduate of Central Catholic and a graduate of Merrimack College with an economics degree.  He was a lighting designer and worked for 55 years running electrical contracting companies including Hart Brothers Electric, CKB Electric, & MBK Electric. He was an avid tennis player and an antique car enthusiast, who owned several antique cars over the years.

He is survived by 3 sons, Christopher Hart, Keith Hart & Brett Hart; 2 brothers, Norman & Justin Hart. He was also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Lawrence on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. A Mercy Meal will follow at Maria’s Family Restaurant, 81 Essex Street in Haverhill. At the family’s request, interment will be private.
