Donna M. Hicks

Donna Hicks, 69 passed away on Friday, October 27th, 2023 after a brief illness at home surrounded by two of her daughters Jessica and Samantha. Donna was born on October 6th, 1954 in Somerville, MA, to Virginia Smith and William Hicks. Donna had spent the majority of her life in the Merrimack Valley. She became a fixture in the neighborhoods she resided in and known to be a doer, always making sure whatever had to be done was taken care of. Her drive to give her children as many experiences as she could would continue later in life for her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her Children Jessica Papatola and her partner Julio of Lowell, Samantha Roeger and fiancé Abismael Morales of Lawrence, Tina Pooler and Tracy Hicks both of Haverhill. Donna had many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren but took an active role in the lives of the youngest ones Jaylin, Jaidalys, Aniyah, Mateo, Arvaeyah of Lowell, Jahzier and Zariah of Lawrence. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Christina who was born silent who has never been forgotten.

Her daughters would like to acknowledge the dedication and love from Donna’s granddaughter Leslie who stayed by her side in her final days.
Friends and family are invited to attend Donna’s wake on November 2, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence.
