Mrs. Aminta Milian, age 100, of Lawrence, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Center in Lawrence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ceferino Alvarez.

Born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Federico Carbuccia & Josefa Milian. Aminta loved hats and music, especially signing opera. 

Mrs. Milian is survived by one son, Domingo Alvarez; five grandchildren, Lissette Alvarez, Jeanette Alvarez & her husband Tito Morales, Joel Alvarez, Miguel Alvarez & Jenny Alvarez; eleven great grandchildren, Joanalis, Jamilette, Keila, Priscila, Stephanie, Madeline, Melanie, Alejandro, Litzie, Eva & Haylie. 

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 5 - 7 p.m.
