Alejandro Sanchez

Mr. Alejandro Sanchez, age 94, of Lawrence, died on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Altagracia (Luna) Sanchez of Lawrence, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Born in Higuey, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Jertrudis Sanchez and Altagracia Sanchez. He was known as a very generous person that was always willing to help others. In his spare time, Alejandro enjoyed playing dominos, dancing, going to the beach and he had a passion for baseball. He was also very family oriented and will be greatly missed by his family and friends,

In addition to his wife, Alejandro is survived by three sons, Daniel Sanchez & wife Debbie Sanchez of Methuen, Jose Sanchez & wife Sandra Sanchez of Methuen, and Alexander (Freddie “My Buddy”) Sanchez & wife Mary Sanchez of Methuen; five grandchildren, Jason & wife Kaitlyn, Cassandra Lee, Natalie Elizabeth, Jessica Altagracia, and Diara; three great grandchildren, Alexiah, Alexander & 
Theo. 

Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 4 - 7 p.m. On Thursday, January 19, 2023, Alejandro's funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Hampshire Street, Lawrence at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
