Mrs. Maria Gloria Pena de Vasquez, age 80, of Broadway in Lawrence, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Maximo Vasquez.

Born in Tenares, Domican Republic, was the daughter of the late Desiderio Pena and Delores Vasquez. Maria was an active parishioner at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence.

Maria is survived by three daughters, Lourdes Fañas, Anneri Fañas & Aura Fañas; five sons, Victor Fañas Jose Fañas, Virgilio Fañas, Pedro Fañas & Vicente Fañas; 21 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; four siblings, Candido Peña, Emelinda Peña, Rosa Peña & Bienvenido. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Hampshire & Haverhill Streets in Lawrence on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Following Maria's funeral mass, calling hours will be held at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence from 1 - 3 p.m. Interment will take place at Cementerio Municipal de Tenares in Tenares, Dominican Republic.
