Henry M. Morcelo, age 59, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his home in Lawrence with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Maria E. (Hernandez) Morcelo of Lawrence, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and raised in Bronx, New York, he was the son of Manuel & the late Maria (Carrasco) Morcelo. Henry worked many years as an Assembler for Anaren in Salem, NH and most recently for American Training as a driver and monitor.
In addition to his wife, Henry is survived by two sons, Henry J. Morcelo of Tewksbury & Teddy Nunez & his wife Patricia of Texas; two daughters, Maria Nunez Silva of Andover & Edelmira Nunez of Lawrence; three sisters, Yocasta Arias & her husband Danilo of Florida; Helen Rodriguez & her husband Elias of New York; Edith Gomez & her husband Hector of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren and one uncle, Alexis Carrasco of Florida. Henry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Henry’s Life at Fountain of Salvation Church, 165 Haverhill St., Lawrence on Tuesday, September 13, beginning at 7 p.m.
