Ms. Carmen Lydia Ortiz, age 62, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Lawrence, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home in Manchester.

Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Pedro Ortiz and the late Carmen Aguilar. Carmen worked for over 20 years at Parlex Corporation in Methuen. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to church, sewing and reading, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her father, Carmen is survived by her longtime companion, Carlos Rodriguez, one daughter, Carmen Rodriguez Ortiz; one son Bartolo Rodriguez Ortiz; three grandchildren, 
January Rivera, Antonio Rivera & Julian Rivera; four brothers, Pedro Ortiz, Jr., Edgardo Ortiz, Edwin Ortiz & Noel Flores; three sisters, Catalina Ortiz, Visheska Ortiz & Brenda Ortiz; Jenny Tapia & her children, Brianna, Vianca & Juan; her loving dog, Oreo. Carmen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 Relatives & friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 4 - 8 p.m. On Thursday, June 22, 2017, Carmen's funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 300 Haverhill & Hampshire Streets, Lawrence. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
