Mr. Alejandro Lopez, age 62, of Lawrence, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2016 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Melida (Reinoso) Lopez.

Born in Tenares, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Teofilo Lopez and Melida Castillo. Alejandro worked construction and was a building manager in New York for many years. He was a genius in construction, he could build and fix just about anything. Family was very important to Alejandro, he loved to spend time with family and friends. He also enjoyed driving around in his Toyota Tacoma.

In addition to his wife, Alejandro is survived by one son, Alejandro Lopez, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Santiago; two daughters, Diana Lopez and her husband Jeffrey Stefaniszyn & Jeanette Lopez; four grandchildren, Gia Lopez, Asia Chandler, Mariah Melendez & Gabriel Berrios; nine brothers & sisters, two biological Aquiles Lopez and Maria Lopez, two by parents Ariel Lopez and Andy Lopez, the rest brothers and sisters in life Jose Miguel and his wife Eugenia Cruz, Santiago Villa & his wife Efigenia Villa, Rafael Reinoso; Patria Nunez & Teofilo Nunez. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Lawrence on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4 - 8 p.m. At Alejandro's request, there will also be services held in New Jersey. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Garfield, New Jersey.
